About Us
1 Word of Grace Assembly (formerly Plymouth Congregational Church) was previously situated in the downtown area of Charleston SC, but relocated in November of 2015 to 835 Magnolia Road, Charleston SC, 29407. The church was founded in 1867 and has been a thriving ministry since its inception. The members of 1 Word of Grace Assembly are more like family than church members. We believe that a loving family environment is representative of true Christian fellowship. We would love for you to come and visit us during one of our services. Feel free to bring a family member or a friend. At 1 Word of Grace Assembly you are only a visitor once. After that you are family!
Our mission and goal is to reach the world through the uncompromising gospel of Jesus Christ. We take seriously the great commission “Go ye therefore and teach all nations”. We believe in the uncompromising message of grace and thus our motto is “Touching and changing lives through the gospel of Jesus Christ.” We want the world to rejoice with us upon hearing the Good News that Jesus Christ came, was crucified and rose again! We want every believer to reign in the freedom whereby the Lord Jesus Christ has made us free.

We are committed to nurturing spiritual growth, serving those in need, and living out God’s Word with integrity and love. Together, we seek to impact our world, one life at a time, reflecting the grace and truth of God in all we do.
